Asian Music and Dancers – Nachdey Hashdey
The name of the group NACHDEY HASDEY translated into English is 'JOYOUS DANCING' Nachdey Hasdey Bhangra Group have been performing for over 21 years. They perform Traditional Folk Bhangra dancing which comes from the Punjab
The group was formed in 1984 and since has consisted of 14 members, which include dancers, drummers, singers and stage back up members, but very often do perform with 6 - 8 dancers (depending on event), 2 drummers (Dholi's) and a singer. The members of the group are between the ages of 15 and 40 years. Most of the members have been professional dancers for up to 17 years.
The members trained themselves to be some of the best performers in the United Kingdom and soon led the group to be the best. Previous members include Meshi Eshara, Kamaljeet (Dholi for Malkit Singh), Sukshinder Shinda and Dav of MoneySpinner.
Bhangra performances vary from Asian weddings, parties, multicultural open shows to charity galas.
