MORE CONGRATULATIONS TO RHOD FOR BAGGING 3 AWARDS AT THE 2008 TIME OUT COMEDY AWARDS! The Welsh Wonder cleaned up at the prestigious Awards - scooping the highly prized `Best Comic` Award as well as `Best Breakthrough Act` and `Best Show of the Year`.Rhod also earned a nomination in the 2009 SOUTH BANK SHOW AWARDS, nominated for `Breakthrough Act` - the only category to be judged by the public.

RHOD ROCKS THE ROYALS! The Welsh sensation rocked the Royal Variety Performance at the iconic London Palladium in December performing alongside a star-studded line-up including Peter Kay, Jimmy Carr, The Pussycat Dolls, Duffy, Take That, Leona Lewis and Sir Cliff Richard to name but a few.

Rhod had the audience, which included His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, in stitches from the outset. His routine went down an absolute storm – not just with the sell-out audience, but with Prince Charles in particular. Talking live on GMTV, Jimmy Carr championed Rhod as one of the highlights of the show – and singled him out for his stunning performance, and the positive reaction he received from the Royals. The Welsh Wonder has also recently performed on BBC One`s Live At The Apollo and Channel 4`s 8 Out Of 10 Cats.Rhod also wrote and recorded a new show for BBC Radio 2 show `Rhod Gilbert`s Leaving Llanbobl’ which transmitted in December.
